About the Event
Celebrate Black History Month with the opening of Resilience, a community-created cultural exhibition and museum-created historical exploration of African Americans’ scientific contributions. Launching February 1, the exhibition features a unique collection of art and poetry by community members and families, as well as weekend workshops.
Resilience is presented in English and Spanish and features the work of:

Saturday workshops by Ghanaian African dance performer, Harold Akyeampong with the Nevada Arts Council, are listed seperately and presented in English.
Resilience is supported in part by the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, and Gritz Cafe.
Resilience is included with museum admission or membership, and will be exhibiting through Thursday, February 29, 2024.
